The image to the left was my first creative effort (at 7 years of age), and little did I know that it would be a precursor to the photographs I make today. It was done during a summer course when I was very young, and I still remember the teacher holding, and moving my hand to show me the effects. I am reminded of that today when I paint with light.
I began making my living with photography when I was 19, and have never looked back. As a commercial photographer for over 40 years, I honed my technical skills creating engaging images for clients. One of the hallmarks of my work during the "film" era was pioneering the use of In Camera Masking, a very difficult and technically challenging technique. Over 20 years ago, I began painting with light, and today, I use it almost exclusively.
